We have become aware of posts circulating on social media in recent days around a petition regarding the supposed removal of our Breastfeeding Support Team.

We welcome the concern and support for the team and would like to emphasise that there are no plans to remove this vital service.

Our Breastfeeding Support Team provides important support for families across Fife. We are currently in the process of developing plans, in partnership with the staff within the Team, to enhance the support available for women and families through the Breastfeeding volunteer teams and with our other children's services.

Please be assured that families across Fife will continue to benefit from the considerable skills and expertise of our Breastfeeding Support Team.
