At Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, we aim to build services around people's needs and aspirations, and work with individuals and communities to build up their resilience so that the people of Fife are supported to live healthy independent lives. That means that we need to understand what it feels like for people who use our services and what challenges they face when using them.
In Fife, we are committed to ensure that people of Fife can engage in a number of ways with the Partnership. To find out more you can read our Participation and Engagement Strategy.
What do we mean by Participation and Engagement?
Community engagement is a way to build and sustain relationships between public services and community groups - helping them both to understand and take action on the needs or issues that communities experience. The term Participation is not about ‘taking part’ or ‘being present’ but having influence over decisions and actions.
