Short-term wheelchair hire update

If a wheelchair is required to support someone in Fife for a short period (maximum period of six months) while they recuperate from illness, injury or to provide assistance for a person at end of life, a free loan of a wheelchair can be provided from Fife Health & Social Care Partnership.

For anyone currently receiving treatment they should speak to their occupational therapist, physiotherapist or community nurse who will be able to order a wheelchair through the Fife Equipment Loan store.  For people who are not currently receiving a service they can call the Contact Centre at Fife Council  Social Services on 0345 155 1503 .
