Principal Social Work Officer
I originally hail from Glasgow. I have been involved in health, social work, and social care services for over 20 years – completing my degree in social policy, followed by training to become a community worker then social worker and a MSc with a focus on Older Adults and alcohol. In this time, I’ve led integrated health, social work, and social care services most recently Head of Service in Argyll and Bute, responsible for community hospitals, community services, care homes and care at home with a clear focus on a strategy for older adult care.
I truly believe in the impact that integrated practice has on good outcomes for people. I am passionate about models of community resilience, the rights of older adults and effective supports for people with dementia and I’m looking forward to progressing opportunities to promote both social work and social care and supporting integration in Fife.
