Annual Accounts 2021-22 - Public Inspection Notice

Fife Council, Fife Council Pension Fund, Fife Council Charitable Trusts and Fife lntegration Joint Board

Accounts for the period from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022

Notice is hereby given in accordance with section 195 of the 1973 Local Government (Scotland) Act and Regulation 9(1) and 9(3Xa) of the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014, together with the provisions of Schedule 6 Paragraph 9 of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 that;

An unaudited copy of the Fife Council, Fife Council Pension Fund and Fife Council Charitable Trust accounts will be available at www.fife.gov.uk/annualaccounts and an unaudited copy of the Fife Integration Joint Board accounts will be available at www.fifehealthandsocialcare.org.

The Annual Accounts shall be open to inspection between Friday, 1st July 2022 and Thursday, 21st July 2022 (inclusive). Any such persons interested may inspect the unaudited accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto. Any request to view supporting documentation should be made by email to Financial.Services@fife.gov.uk.

Any person interested may object to the accounts or to any part of those Accounts by,

  • sending their objection, together with a statement of the grounds thereof, to the appointed auditor, Mr Brian Howarth, Audit Director, Audit Services by email to bhowarth@audit-scotland.gov.uk (for Fife Council, Fife Council Pension Fund, and Fife Integration Joint Board):
  • sending their objection, together with a statement of the grounds thereof, to the auditor, Ms. Patricia Fraser, Senior Audit Manager by e-mail to pfraser@audit-scotland.gov.uk (for Fife Council Charitable Trust accounts);

A copy of that objection and statement must be sent to the Officer concerned and to the Head of Finance, Fife Council within 21 days of the Accounts being first available for public inspection.

Any person who makes any such objection has the right to appear before and be heard by the Auditors, Audit Scotland, either personally or by a representative with respect to that objection, either on a face-to-face basis or conducted remotely using appropriate electronic communication.
