At its meeting the IJB acknowledged the feedback and recommended:

Community Health and Wellbeing Hubs

  • To progress with the three year scope and development programme.
    Next steps – officers will progress with this and provide regular updates.


Community Hospitals and Intermediate Care beds

    • To progress with the Option Appraisal process and develop a consultation proposal.
      Next steps – officers will progress with this and take the recommendations to the IJB.


Out of Hours Urgent Care

  • That officers will do further work with GPs and stakeholders in North East Fife.
  • That officers will have further engagement with the other localities in Fife.
  • That officers will develop a fully costed transport policy.
    Next steps:
  • There has been participation requests from local community groups – these are currently being dealt with by NHS Fife – these may impact timescales.
  • During January and February officers will engage with North East Fife stakeholders and GPs and wider engagement with all localities in Fife.
  • March – officers will hold a workshop to consider options to address the access concerns raised within the context of a sustainable Fife-wide model.
  • June – options will be taken to the IJB in June for a decision.
