Fife Health & Social Care Partnership, and its partner carer organisations, are delighted to celebrate Carers Week 2019 between 10th and 16th June 2019.

During Carers Week we will be hosting a range of events to share information with carers and those who support them, and recognising and celebrating the huge contribution carers in Fife make in their local communities.

Fife Health & Social Care Partnership, Fife Carers Centre and their partners are inviting carers, services and businesses in the community to come together during Carers Week and celebrate the vital contribution made by carers in Fife. This year Carers Week will take place from 10-16 June 2019 and it will be the 25th year of Carers Week celebrations.

It’s hugely important our community recognises the contribution of unpaid carers in Fife this Carers Week. Together we have planned a series of events to recognise and celebrate carers, and to provide information about what support is available in Fife to help carers to continue in their crucial role.

CARERS WEEK NEWS

Monday 10th June – Fife Young Carers today held a hugely successful afternoon tea for care professionals and those who support young carers.

Tuesday, 11th June – During carers week we are also asking carers to tell us what their carer experience is like? What works for them?  What doesn’t?  Visit our Carers Experience Survey and take 5 minutes to complete our survey to help us build a more complete picture of caring in Fife, which will help us identify improvements – www.fifehealthandsocialcare.org/carers-experience-survey.

Wednesday 12th June – Today there is lots happening to celebrate and support carers in Fife.  We are hosting the first Carers Gathering at the Strathearn Hotel in Kirkcaldy between 1pm and 3pm.  Its a FREE event for carers to connect with other carers and carer organisations to learn about the support available throughout the Kingdom.  Join us if you can.

Today also sees the launch of two new practical supports for carers; our income maximisation support for carers in partnership with Citizen’s Advice and Rights Fife; and, the Carers Digital Resource and Jointly App in partnership with Carers Scotland.  Both are part of our universal offer of support for carers and FREE to all to use.
