The Care at Home service is at the core of how the Partnership’s community care aims. It is a large and complex service. It delivers care to over 3,000 service users across Fife. Care is delivered by both the internal care at home team and external care agencies. The service needs to be transformed to support the increasing shift to care closer to home. This has begun.
It is one year since we went live with a new mobile phone scheduling system, Total Mobile. This meant training 900 home carers to use a new way of receiving care rotas on their mobile phone. Over 570,000 visits been delivered across the Kingdom in this new way. The approach is using digital technology alongside the skills and experience of staff to meet people’s needs at home.
