Dementia Friendly Glenrothes

The Dementia Friendly Glenrothes initiative is a partnership between Alzheimer Scotland, Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Sports & Leisure Trust, Active Fife, Fife Forum, Fife Cultural Trust and other local organisations with support from Fife Council Local Area Committee.

Organisations from across the town including the Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre, Active Fife’s Bums Off Seats programme in Riverside Park, the Kingdom Shopping Centre, Aldi (Glenrothes), Rothes Halls, the libraries and other local businesses and services have all shown their support to the local initiative to date.  You can read more about our work in our News section and through the Dementia Friendly Glenrothes Facebook page.

“Aldi is committed to providing the best possible products and service to all those within the local community and we are delighted to partner with the Dementia Friendly Glenrothes initiative to make improvements in our store experience for those customers who have dementia.  Our staff are now more aware and understanding of the issues that those with Dementia face whilst going about their shopping and we look forward to continuing to make Aldi Glenrothes a welcoming place for all.”  Hendrik Cunningham, Area Manager for Aldi (Glenrothes)
